Abstract

The rapid development of the digital economy has significantly transformed how organizations formulate strategies and redesign their business models. The increasing adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides new opportunities for companies to enhance strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and develop innovative digital business models. However, integrating AI into corporate strategy formulation remains a complex process that requires a deeper understanding of its strategic implications for business model transformation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how the integration of Artificial Intelligence in business strategy formulation influences the transformation of business models in the era of the digital economy. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design using a systematic literature review method. Data were collected from peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2021 and 2025 that discuss Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and business strategy. The collected data were then analyzed using qualitative content analysis to identify key themes related to AI integration in strategic decision-making and digital business model development.

The results indicate that Artificial Intelligence significantly enhances data-driven strategic decision-making, organizational agility, and innovation in strategic planning. In addition, AI contributes to the transformation of business models by enabling platform-based ecosystems, automated service systems, and data-centric value creation within digital markets. These developments allow organizations to create more adaptive and scalable business models that respond effectively to technological disruption and changing market dynamics. The study concludes that Artificial Intelligence functions as a strategic enabler that strengthens corporate strategy formulation while simultaneously driving the evolution of innovative and competitive digital business models in the digital economy.
